A research using ferronickel slag, the by-product of production, as raw material for magnesium extraction was carried out. It is essential to upgrade value slag instead used directly reclamation materials. Moreover, accumulation due increasing demand well environmental contamination various potentially toxic elements contained in could be prevented. The general objective this study utilize specific determine optimum conditions process alkali fusion followed by hydrochloric acid leaching. novel method from out through reducing silica content leaching method. Alkali mixture and Na2CO3 at 1000?C 60 minutes, water 100?C minutes with solid liquid percentage 20 % separate silica. residue resulted then leached solution extract magnesium. temperature time hycrochloric concentration were varied process. proved sodium silicate can generated that it separated solution. Meanwhile, highest 82.67% an condition 80?C 30 2M HCl Based on kinetics study, activation energy (Ea) reaction atmospheric pressure between 32?C 9.44 kJ/mol affected diffusion chemical reactions.
